Comparative analysis of a different geometric shapes of a busbar's trolley parameters in the higher harmonic current condition

A comparative analysis of the resistance and reactance of the phase trolley's busbars, depending on their shapes, material and current harmonic spectrum, has been carried out. The asymmetry level of busbar's parameters is determined, which is provided by proximity effects, surface effects, skin effects and other edge effects. It is proved, that the value of the resistance and reactance components does not depend on the amplitude of the higher harmonics, but depends on the frequency of the higher harmonics of the current. The optimal shape for steel and copper busbar's trolleys has been determined, which provides the smallest increase in resistance and reactance of the busbar, caused by the influence of higher harmonics of the current. As well as the lowest level of unbalance between phases of resistance and reactance parameters of busbar's trolleys.
