Comparison of Positional and Timer Coding in the System of Residual Classes

The basic principles and comparative characteristics of promising information coding methods in modern data transmission and reception networks are examined from the point of view of achieving the best conditions for reliable reception and ensuring high data transmission performance while maintaining pre-requisites for secrecy of the transmitted information. The features of traditional processing methods (in particular, positional coding) are analyzed, their main disadvantages and low competitiveness are studied in comparison with the proposed coding methods to ensure high quality indicators of the transmitted information. Some aspects of the formation of the system of residual classes are investigated, analytical relations are given for compiling the modules used in order to form code tables of relations, the conditions for forming the power of the transmitted ensemble are calculated. The analysis was carried out and the principles for calculating the maximum length of a code word for the given table of ratios based on the modules used were determined. The study of traditional coding methods has shown that in modern data transmission and reception systems, their efficiency is low. This is primarily due to their low performance in comparison, for example, with methods that use timer signal structures, as well as the complexity of the algorithms used in their implementation. Theoretical studies show, it has been established that the use of coding methods using timer signal structures, under the same conditions, can be successfully applied in residual class systems, in contrast to positional coding. The use of these processing methods provides a number of advantages over classical coding methods in terms of the quality indicators of the transmitted information.
