Self Check-In Access Control Kiosk with Automated Card Dispensing and Storage System

A high number of office buildings especially in Indonesia still using a system where a receptionist exchange ID cards for temporary building pass. This project aims to automate such access control procedure. By combining a self-service user interface, automated card storage and retrieval systems, and optical character recognition (OCR), the processing time can be reduced and the system will help security staff to focus on the more important human observation tasks. This work will involve producing a prototype to execute this process, including integrating the system with a cloud database for access tracking. This will allow for better monitoring and documentation of building access.
