Design of a High Directivity Slotted Fractal Antenna for C-band, X-band and Ku-band Applications

A novel slotted fractal microstrip antenna having high directivity is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna is miniaturized in size and exhibits a very broad bandwidth (equal to 1.5 GHz) and large value of gain (having mean value equal to 4.9 dB) with respect to the isotropic antenna despite of its small size. The proposed multi-band antenna has also been analyzed in terms of return loss graph and radiation pattern graphs. The antenna has been simulated on HFSS 17.0 with the help of parametric variations methodology. The antenna is very much significant and useful for C-band, X-band and Ku-band applications.
