Chaotic Dynamics for VCSEL Subjected to Time Delayed and Filtered Injection Using FBG Array Sensor

In this simulation study, sensing possibilities are employed in parallel with secure optical communications, such that smart optical communications are suggested. One VCSEL is subjected to variable optoelectronic modulated injection from a second VCSEL device. This injection is controlled via two innovative techniques; external light time delay and the self-electro optic effect technique. A higher level of security is examined in such a technique, where the division of the injected power is done via the Mickelson interferometer. Recombination for the divided signal is made again. FBG smart sensing plays the role of smart divider optics. Temperature is simulated with this setup to investigate its weight in the new waveform. Attractors and radiofrequency spectra were used to test this chaotic behavior. Additional parameters have been tested for controlling VCSEL dynamics which enrich the resulting chaotic spectra. OTD, SEED, temperature, and stress gave fluctuating weights to these spectra. SEED with LD1 contributes more efficiently than SEED with LD2, while OTD value gives less effect and contributes to the results.
