Research of Voltage Dips in Networks with Limited Power

This scientific article describes the problem of the occurrence and overcoming of voltage dips for power supply systems of industrial enterprises with limited power. Mathematical models of real electrical engineering complexes of industrial enterprises are presented in the MATLAB / Simulink program, and some of the most common types of electric motors in the industry are used as the load. On the basis of the above-described models, comparisons are made between the proposed method for overcoming the voltage dip (diesel generator set) and the one that is currently used everywhere (storage battery). A conclusion is made about the validity of replacing storage batteries as a backup power source due to their inability to provide the required power value for a long time
