Neuro-fuzzy Approach for Batteries Depassivation

Power supply is an essential part of any devices’ functioning. Malfunctions in power supply may lead to wrong behavior of system, which can lead to disastrous consequences. Batteries, which enable the mobility of various devices, sometimes lead to problems, if taken care of wrong. One of these elements are lithium-thionyl chloride batteries (Li-SOCl2), which tend to passivate. The passivation effect allows batteries keep charge very well, but their output current becomes lower with time. An intellectual approach for depassivating batteries or preventing the effect is presented. Given neuro-fuzzy approach is able to choose what to do with the battery, depending on its characteristics. This approach can be used for implementing depassivating systems.
