Intelligent Desert Cooler to Predict and Control Temperature Inside Museum

Museums are public places that are treasure troves of knowledge, housing important exhibits, and invaluable artifacts. Instability in environment parameters like temperature, humidity inside museums, can cause permanent damages to the invaluable artifact, exhibits and it also affects performance & life of the equipment used in the exhibits. The changes in environment parameters as well affect the health of visitors inside museums. To maintain environmental stability in museums conventional method being used is expensive and doesn’t consider visitor population dynamics. In this paper, an Internet of Things (IoT) based intelligent evaporative cooling system which takes visitor dynamics along with other independent variable as key input for the multiple linear regression model and predict the lead two-hour humidity index inside the museum has been proposed. The humidity Index predicted is used to operate the modified desert cooler to attain and maintain an achievable thermal comfort level inside the museum. Also, to make the visitor-centric Museum the achievable thermal comfort level data of the museum is made available in the cloud.
