Analysis on psychological model of ‘involution’ and ‘tang ping’ of first-class college students under engineering technology

With the increasingly intense competition in colleges and universities, the term “involution” appeared and has become popular in many students' daily use to indicate irrational competition. The opposite of “involution” is “tang ping” (lying flat), meaning that “faced with great competitive pressure, people no longer aspire to success and reduce their desire”. In this research, the psychological model of “involution” and “tang ping” among college students is analyzed under an engineering technology. Premised on a certain proportion of college students in terms of school types, grades and genders, the research is conducted through Wenjuanxing, an online survey tool, supported by reports and data. Then a visual and multi-dimensional analysis of the psychological model of “involution” and “tang ping” among college students of different grades in Project 985 universities, Project 211 universities, or other key universities is made. Finally, effective measures to mitigate such phenomena are proposed.
