Reliable MANET Routing for Multimedia Communication

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) contain a group of nodes that moves liberally and communicate with one another wirelessly. Owing to the contrasting wired networks and movement of nodes, the available paths amongst the nodes for transferring data packets will not be steady. Therefore, routing in MANET is much demanding owing to the movement of nodes. This survey makes a significant analysis of reference papers regarding MANET routing. More particularly, varied performance measures that are contributed in various articles are analyzed. In addition, a comprehensive study is made regarding the maximal performances attained in each work. Moreover, attack analysis is done and finally, the survey extends with the determination of varied research challenges, which might be productive for the analysts to endorse enhanced upcoming works on MANET routing.
