Thermal effect on Layers of 3D Printed Components & its impact on Material’s Property

The purpose of this study is to investigate the thermal interaction of layers of 3D printed components. Thermal bond formation happens as a result of the raw material’s molten condition and ultimately determines the overall integrity and mechanical properties of the resulting prototypes. The quality of strong layers and their bindings was determined by computing and evaluating fluctuations in their strength and heat dissipation rate at the borders between the connected layers. Temperature profiles for 3D printed components created under various processing settings were analysed, as well as the impacts on the structure and thermal attributes. Parallel to the investigation, predictions of the degree of bonding accomplished during the 3D printing process were established using thermal analysis of layer thermal conductivity (ABS polymer). The current research is based on a study of the heat and strength analysis of a 3D printed layer under a variety of various conditions, including changes in surrounding temperature, cooling time, humidity, airflow rate, and form and orientation of an item. The project will begin with the creation of three-dimensional models using simulation software. The qualities such as hardness, the speed at which molten material cools layer by layer, and bonding forces, among others while creating the 3D printed model were evaluated. These qualities were verified at several points throughout the 3D printing process.
