The Development and Analysis of a Service Model for the Traffic of a Surveillance System Operator by a Dedicated Resource of an LTE Cell

A mathematical model of the process of joint servicing by a dedicated resource of an isolated cell of an LTE standard network of two communication session flows for the transmission of real-time services traffic and a session flow for the transmission of elastic data traffic is constructed. It is assumed that the sources of sessions are video cameras and various telemetry devices belonging to the operator of surveillance systems using the cell resource to organize their work. The models assume that real-time service traffic has an advantage in occupying a dedicated resource over data traffic. The claimed benefit is in reducing the elastic data rate to a concentration value that corresponds to the frequency of the elastic data rate. When a free channel resource appears, the data transfer rate increases. To create conditions for differentiated servicing of incoming heterogeneous information flows, the model uses the procedure for restricting access to resource occupation. The choice of restrictions depends on the type of communication sessions and on the overall level of occupancy of the allocated resource by all incoming information flows. Using the model, definitions are given for the main indicators of servicing requests, an algorithm for their evaluation is developed, and numerical examples are given illustrating the use of the model for analyzing scenarios for differentiated servicing of heterogeneous traffic.
