Method of Storing Information Based on Unit Coding

The study explores effective ways to compress information. Criteria providing the choice of acceptable methods of signal compression are substantiated. Methods of compression are revealed that provide maximum entropy due to the elimination of psychophysical redundancy of information. The degree of compression in methods that exclude only statistical redundancy and the number of repetitions of information in the signal is qualitatively established. The unsuitability of the use of irreversible compression methods for the transmission of the reference signal has been substantiated. Methods for the classical increase in entropy are considered. The main disadvantage of the known methods of efficient coding is noted. It attempts to compress information that has already been compressed. The study proposes to go to the original form - a unitary code before the information compression procedure. On the basis of the material presented earlier, a presentation method is proposed and a method for storing information without increasing the storage volume is described. This can be achieved through the use of unitary coding. The required storage volume is set, determined by the required number of bits of the unitary code of the maximum of the stored numbers. The advantages and disadvantages of switching to a unitary code are considered. The principles of adding new information to the final unitary code are determined. The factors determining the maximum amount of data influencing the processing time of the file are substantiated. The fundamentals of the differential approach are proposed, which make it possible to increase the conversion speed from a unitary code. More research is needed to improve the storage density of compressed information.
