Capability analysis of American Military communication System based on advanced information Technology

Communication system is composed of transmission, exchange, terminal and other elements, using transmission, communication network and security, optical communication, multimedia communication and other technologies to achieve information transfer of all kinds of networks and systems. This paper first introduces the main situation of the strategic, theater and tactical communication systems of the United States army. Secondly, it analyzes the three main characteristics of the communication system of the US army, namely, the development of the technology-driven by the operational concept, the close connection with the important command organization and the emphasis on the integration of mature commercial technology. Finally, four kinds of capabilities of the US military communication system are summarized, which can ensure the uninterrupted command, provide a safe and reliable command environment, provide a highly elastic command communication network and compress the period of command decision.
