QoE Assessment of Angle Perception with Haptics for Networked Virtual Environments

This paper examines human perception of angle for networked haptic virtual environments by Quality of Experience (QoE) assessment. In the assessment, subjects make a comparison between each of eleven angles (called the standard angles here) and tested angles by using our angle perception system. The subjects answer whether each tested angle is different from its standard angle, and we obtain the ratio of the number of subjects who notice the difference to the total number of subjects. Assessment results demonstrate that the ratio is largely dependent on the standard angle and the angle difference.
