Design and Construction of a Robotic Food Server

The project is aimed at designing and construction of a robotic food server. Essentially, the project consists of hardware and software development. The design and implementation of the robotic restaurant food server was carried out using MPLAB Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The hardware part of the project involves designing and construction of a display unit, a keypad unit, and a control centre. The display serves as the output and the keypad as the input to the system. The processing of the input is carried out by a PIC Microcontroller. The prototype of the robotic food server was constructed and is working satisfactorily. With some few modifications it can be used to handle food services in a typical roadside restaurant.
