Voice Controlled Bedroom Using AIY Google Kit

Artificial intelligence is considered one of the most interesting fields in the new world. It has been an area of active research to produce machines that have intelligence that can help simplify many tasks. People nowadays are looking forward to using and buying things that make most tasks easier for them and by using Artificial Intelligence, their needs are being fulfilled. According to Google, 27% of the online global population is using voice search on mobile. Voice assistants are considered an application of artificial intelligence that can be implemented in various places. In addition, the Internet of Things is a new trending technology that achieves the highest efficiency with minimum cost. By utilizing the Internet of Things protocol, machines can communicate with humans and other machines, thus we can monitor machines remotely. In our project, we will control some basic tasks performed in bedrooms using Google AIY Voice Kit over the internet via Wi-Fi. Our voice system transcribes the audio data, understands it, and then translates it to action. After that, it communicates to the application via the cloud. This is done to simplify some basic tasks in a person’s bedroom using their voice only, which is a major contribution to many people especially elderlies, people of determination, and pregnant women. Moreover, a person who has an injured leg or is carrying heavy packages can use their voice to control some elements in the room without needing help from others.
