Design of Multi-Sensors Node for Industrial Monitoring and Safety Systems

In the current era, the monitoring systems are important tools to the environment, industry and humanity. In environmental fields, they are used to monitor the environmental factors such as air quality, temperature, pressure, etc. to save the life of human, plants and animals. While in industrial fields, these systems are used for the processes tracing for safety maintaining. Also they are exploited as an inspection tool of occupational protection to predict any deviation case and maintain the integrity of the industrial environment. This research introduces the design and the use of a multi sensors node prototype. It is an electronic circuit based on the microcontroller and featured by its small size, easy to program, low power consumption, and lower cost. The design exploit the multi sensors node technology that used for monitoring today. The practical experiments are dealing with two design techniques. The first uses a new communication protocol (Inter- Integrated Circuit) that is intended to connect multiple (similar) slaves with one “master” electronic chip. The second is connecting multiple sensors (different) with one microcontroller or master chip.
