Research on Dynamic Load Balancing of Data Center Network Based on SDN Architecture

With the continuous expansion of the Internet scale, the traditional network load balancing method combining software and hardware has some problems, such as poor scalability, cumbersome switching technology and poor self-regulation ability. At present, under various cloud service requirements, the data center network serves as a bridge connecting thousands of server clusters in each data center, and each node in the network may face huge traffic. The appearance of SDN(Software Definition Network) technology provides a new way to solve the current data center traffic problem. In SDN system, SDN control plane can monitor and manage the network status of all links in real time from a global perspective, so as to achieve the effect of allocating network resources according to needs. By analyzing the advantages of SDN, this paper implements a data center network load balancing strategy based on SDN architecture. The strategy uses SDN controller to centrally monitor the whole network, and can select forwarding paths based on the real-time load of the network, thus realizing the load balance of the network and improving the bandwidth utilization of the whole network link.
