Research and experiment on a new method for position measurement of magnetic suspension and balance system

magnetic suspension and balance system technology is a new wind tunnel balance test technology, which uses electromagnetic force to hang the tested aircraft model, which can theoretically solve the problem of mechanical support interference of aircraft models in traditional wind tunnel test technology. The magnetic suspension and balance system needs to measure the position of the hanging object in real-time. Generally, a Charge-coupled Device(CCD) sensor is used to obtain the linear marker, but this method can not adapt to the operation of the model with a rolling direction. In order to eliminate the influence of hanging object rolling motion on vertical position measurement, a new CCD position extraction method is designed. In view of the influence of noise on the gradient value extraction of image gray, it is difficult to extract the hanging object pixel position signal from the gradient value, so the tracking differentiator is introduced to effectively extract the gradient value from the CCD image gray value signal. According to the characteristics of the CCD image gradient signal, a pattern matching method is studied. The pixel position signal of the hanging object is extracted from the gradient value to prevent the wrong extraction of the pixel position signal and then mapped to the corresponding real coordinate value of the hanging object according to the function. Finally, the proposed method is verified and analyzed by experiments.
