The performance evaluation and analysis of QoS metrics on Routing Protocols using Multimedia Traffic in Mobile Adhoc NETwork

Routing is a complex task in MANETs, such that many factors are involved in routing decisions that affect network performance and also the provision of QoS guarantees is much more challenging in MANETs. The major factors affecting the network are network congestion in wireless nature of communication with bandwidth of limited channels, node mobility in dynamically changing topology. The main focus is to provide QoS to achieve predetermined behavioral network, so that the data carried by the network for the transaction of packets can be better delivered and utilization of network resources can be ease. This paper discusses on the analyzation of various QoS parameters on M-AODV [8] which was the proposed work prior and DSR protocol for the real time data transmission using NS-3 simulator. The performance metrics comprise of QoS parameters such as delivery ratio of the packets, delay between the end processors, variation in packet delay, overhead in terms of routing and throughput. In this paper, the comparisons are made and analyzation is done and the performance of M-AODV and Dynamic Source Routing protocols are evaluated.
