Design, Modeling and Simulation of Bidirectional Buck and Boost Converter for Electric Vehicles

A great share of the emissions come from the transport sector and therefore it is a challenge for the transport sector to minimise these. Electric vehicles (EVs) have been viewed as a promising innovation choice and a few public legislatures have effectively executed approaches to advance the innovation. Battery, charger, motor and a productive power conditioning framework are imperative components to break down and foster EVs. Thus, there is an impulse to foster dc-dc converters with higher efficiency, bi-directional feature and a smaller volume/weight that can work under adaptable working conditions. Taking into consideration all these aspects, the non-isolated dc-dc power converter is thought to be better as compared to the bulkier and expensive isolated dc-dc converter This research paper focuses on the design, modeling and simulation of the bidirectional buck and boost dc-dc Converter for the EV application.
