Energy Efficiency of Routing Protocols in IoT Application: A Review

The Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to revolutionise how we interact with items. The Internet of Things (IoT) is defined as the concept of everything being universally connected. Other ingenious ideas include a global network of smart gadgets that are uniquely recognized and addressable products that can interact and communicate with one another. Every intelligent object is made up of a collection of parts. There's a CPU, a transceiver module, sensors, and a power source. A large range of high-performance and innovative IoT-based goods require energy. As a result, researchers are paying close attention to the issue of energy usage in IoT-based devices. Green IoT tackles the problem of minimizing IoT system energy usage and ensuring a long-term environment for IoT systems. The most recent research on energy optimization in the Internet of Things is discussed in this paper. We analysed the literature, classified existing energy-efficient solutions, and provided open problems and research opportunities to the scientific community.
