Aircraft Pitch Control based on Genetic Algorithm Tuning with PID and LQR Controller

This research represents the Proportional integral derivative (PID) as well as linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controllers that are devised in the favor of an aircraft's pitch control system. The parameter LQR, as well as PID controllers, is tuned using the Genetic Algorithm (GA). The controller device starts through a mathematical model that accounts for an aircraft's longitudinal motion. The simulation is organized in MATLAB, and the results for an aircraft's pitch angle reaction are shown by step response. PID, as well as LQR controller, includes the settings that may be manually adjusted or improved using genetic algorithms for improved performance and control. Genetic Algorithm-subject of global optimization, is a useful tool for solving a variety of issues. The genetic algorithm is effectively used to aircraft pitch control utilizing simulation in MATLAB for tuning of PID & LQR controllers so, therefore, optimum parameter standards for the PID & LQR controllers will be obtained.
