A Comparative Survey on Face Recognition Techniques

The face is an intrinsic part of the human body that distinguishes individuals from large groups of people. Thus, it has become the most commonly used and accepted biometric approach because of its universality and uniqueness. Face recognition has piqued the interest of many scientists and has thereby become a standard prerequisite for successful recognition. The goal of this work is to show the broad variety of techniques used for facial detection and recognition and try to address their benefits and drawbacks to overcome occlusion problems which would help to strengthen security measures for tacking and redacting people. The final segment presents the prospects and possible consequences for the area to be more progressed.
