The business environment and challenges of today's electric cooperatives

Kenergy has recently gone through the merger of two electric cooperatives, Green River and Henderson Union, and is aggressively improving services to customers while striving for the operational efficiency improvements and synergy savings envisioned in the merger. This paper examines the environment and challenges of the cooperative business, and the attributes of a successful electric co-operative.
