Real-Time Monitoring of Heart Beat Rate and SpO2 Based on Internet of Things

Internet of things (IoT) is fast developing in many fields of technology, for example, biomedical, for imperative sign checking of individuals. Heart pulse and oxygen immersion (SpO2) are crucial sign boundaries for human existence. Those boundaries should have been noticed for patients in a crisis circumstance. Specialists expected to screen the patients' pulse and SpO2 boundaries ceaselessly at emergency clinics. Pulse and SpO2 boundaries based on IoT innovation will be investigated. Heart pulse rate and SpO2 boundaries are monitored using the fingerprint sensor and pulse oximeter sensor module respectively. Information received from the two sensors (fingerprint and oximeter) were processed through the Node Microcontroller Unit (NodeMCU). The signals from the two sensors were transmitted remotely from the client to a smartphone device of a clinic attendant via a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) of the NodeMCU using the ThinkSpeak platform. This paper presents a Smart Health Monitoring Systems (SHMS) that measures the degree of oxygen level in the human body. Prototype will be developed and it can be utilized by athletes to check their heart beat and blood oxygen levels during when necessary. This system design can be used with an Android app known as Blynk will be utilized for recording, frequent refreshing and transmitting of information for both SpO2 and (beats per minute) BPM on the web by means of the ThinkSpeak platform. The prototype will facilitate the monitoring of the patient SpO2 and BPM information remotely around the world.
