IoT as a Platform for State-of-the-Art Load Modeling in Domestic Utility

As the demand increase from 0.9 TW to 1.2 TW in the last 5 years in India. Balancing the load at demand side is much important to minimize the power outage or to improve power balance. Power sector is ever increasing and control strategy are also evolving day by day. As the technology increase, the involvement of technology with the power industry is also going hand in hand. SCADA/ DCS are evolved so much in past decade. As mentioned earlier, balancing the load at demand side is explained in this paper. This paper also briefs about the implementation of IoT in load control strategy. Dis-aggregating the energy of a utility sector of 3kW standalone house to better understand the load using IoT is detailed in this paper. Single house load configuration is simulated using MATLAB software to analyse the load curve.
