Speed Controlled Lane Switching Embedded Mechanism

Lane detection is an integral part of Autonomous driving system. Speed sensors have been added to prevent accidents, traffic and promote road and vehicle safety. The mechanism proposed has integrated various software like Computer Vision to detect lanes and Arduino to calculate the instantaneous speed of the moving vehicle. This proposed mechanism aids driver to maintain the respective lane according to the speed. It is enhanced with a voice assistant notifying the driver with speed and the supposed lane he should drive on. It comes along with an alert when the driver switches to or stays on the wrong lane. The mechanism distinguishes lanes using the canny edge detection algorithm. The calculated speed indicates that the appropriate lane avoids traffic and other mishaps.
