Research on the Application of Internet of Things in Universities Instruments and Equipment Management

With the continuous expansion of the scale of university laboratories, the management of instruments and equipment has become more difficult, various management problems have become prominent, and the requirements for refined management have increased. This paper discusses the current problems in the management of instruments and equipment in universities. Combined with the requirements of instrument and equipment management, this paper puts forward the overall solution of instruments and equipment management in universities, designs the architecture of instruments and equipment management platform(IEMP) based on Internet of things(IoT) , uses a variety of IoT terminals for data acquisition and control, and focuses on ZigBee IoT terminal networking technology, IoT terminal connection mode, RFID reader installation location strategy, sensors, intelligent power management and other key technologies. It strengthens process management, effectively reduces investment costs, improves equipment utilization, sharing rate and service level, achieves the purpose of fine control of instruments and equipment, and provides reference for the construction of IEMP in universities.
