Analysis of Multipath Fading at Receiver in ISM-band using Diversity Based Antenna

Spectrum is a limited natural resource and needs to be utilized efficiently. The demand for higher data rate has increased significantly due to growth in the number of wireless service users. An effective RF survey is essential to know the location wise status of the spectrum bands. Indoor and outdoor RF surveys give insight into RF spectrum QoS. Antenna diversity helps to increase the QoS and reduce the multi-path interference simply by adding a combiner to the receiver. In this research work, the RF survey of ISM band has been carried out using MAP Source software and a spectrum analyzer and parameters of Micro strip polarized diversity-based antenna at receiver have been studied. The Parameters like SNR, coverage at urban geographical terrain have been reported. The effect of multipath fading effect at the receiver has been studied. Antenna diversity has been used to know and avoid the effects of multi-path fading on the receiver energy levels.
