An Android Based Navigation Application for A Tertiary Campus

Typically, a university campus is exponentially larger than a secondary school compound. Students, admitted yearly, utilize an isometric map to navigate the campus or rely on the kindness of strangers to find places like the Administrative building, Departments, classrooms, etc. or to understand their current location on campus. This problem may or may not be solved in a timely manner causing tardiness and a stressful transition from secondary education to tertiary education. This paper presents the architecture and design of a Unity based application on Android Platform that provides written directions from one location to another and includes a built-in compass to aid in user-friendliness. This mobile application would be helpful in aiding new students to their desired location, reduce tardiness and ease the transition from secondary education to tertiary education.
