Research on The Design of Traditional Kitchenware for People Living Alone Based on The FBS Model

Kitchenware, as a product that changes people’s lifestyle, its traditional form and structure cannot meet the various needs of all users. The development of traditional kitchenware not only needs to consider basic functions, but also to consider users’ needs. FBS analysis model, namely "function-behavior-structure", is applied in this paper to analyze the needs of users living alone, so as to obtain product structure suitable for their needs. Based on the result of the analysis, the innovative design of traditional kitchen utensils will be carried out. The analysis of the needs of people who live alone is based on FBS model improves user experience, and explores a new direction for the design of household kitchenware by taking the example of traditional kitchenware.
