Development of App-based Ride-hailing Calculating Mileage and Time Detection Device

For a long time, under the strict control of the goverment, the industry of the taxi is obviously limited in license plate, and the supply is insufficient while the market demand is huge, which provides a great development opportunity for the rise and penetration of App-based Ride-hailing. In recent years, the scale of the users for App-based Ride-hailing has grown rapidly, with the penetration rate reaching 83.8% in first-tier cities.While App-based Ride-hailing brings convenience to people's travel, the problem of inaccurate billing is also coming one after another due to the inaccurate calculation of the journey. In view of the current disputes in the market of App-based Ride-hailing, In this paper a portable App-based Ride-hailing meter and timing detection device, which was developed recently and can be placed on the car for real-time detection of the App-based Ride-hailing terminal, will be shown. Being tested in the National Satellite Navigation, Positioning and Timing Industry Testing Center, the measuring error of the device was between 0.02% ~ 0.81% and the timing error was 0.
