IoT-Based Battery Monitoring System in Solar Power Plants with Secure Copy Protocol (SCP)

In a Solar Power Plant device, there are two factors that affect battery life, namely the battery discharge factor and the environmental temperature factor. A battery will be damaged quickly if it is empty for a long time. This paper discusses the PLTS battery monitoring system to determine the condition of the battery. This system uses Raspberry pi as a microcontroller based on IoT and uses Secure Copy Protocol (SCP) for data security assurance. This system aims to display data from the output of a Solar Power Plant battery which is displayed in a web page. There are differences in data obtained from sensors and manual measuring instruments. The difference in voltage is 0.06%, the current is 0.99% with a 1.7W load, a current of 0.33% with a 5W load, a current of 0.61% with a load of 8.4W, and a temperature of 0.39%. The average speed of sending 90 Byte files using SCP is 18.25 KB / s and takes 4.94 ms. The difference between the measuring instrument and the percentage sensor is still relatively small, below 1%. The data communication system with SCP is running quite well with the sending time of files containing sensor data of less than 1 second.
