Simulation and Analysis of Articulated Robot

The main objective of this research is to analyze the KUKA KR 16 industrial Robot using static structural analysis. The robot which we took for the research is 6 axis Industrial robot and this robot is mainly used in applications like arc Welding and Material handling purposes in Automobile and Manufacturing Industries. In this research total deformation, Strain energy, equivalent stresses, Equivalent Elastic strain of the industrial robot are being carried out under different load conditions using Finite Element Analysis with ANSYS software. The analysis took place with different joint and gripping loads ranging from 0.5N-200N respectively to find the structural deformation of the robot. The values of typical gripper loads are compared to those at different conditions to observe the weak parts of the robot.
