Telly-filly a form filling assistant for Illiterate and visually impaired

TELLY-FILLY, a software application for helping the illiterate and the visually impaired of our society. It fills forms used in banks using a speech interface and OCR technology. Banks use a large number of forms every day. It offers a disadvantage specifically for the illiterate and the visually impaired. Telly-Filly aims at efficiently filling pre-defined forms using the details retrieved from the documents produced by the user and the data collected through voice inputs provided by the user in his/her native language. The questions to be asked by the software application to the user need to be defined priorly. This software application can be split into various modules - OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to retrieve data from the documents produced by the user, a speech recognition module to obtain information like amount to be deposited, and other data which aren't available in the documents produced, a speech to text module to convert the speech inputs into text, a module for text-to-text translation, and finally a module for placing the details in appropriate fields.
