Evaluation Model of Data Consistency Mechanism in Decentralized Network Application

The decentralized, tamper-proof and secure features of blockchain provide a technical solution for decentralized network applications, supporting a large number of current applications, such as Bitcoin, Ethernet Square, EOS and so on. Among them, data consistency is the core factor that can provide business support, which mainly affects the availability, performance and scalability of the system. However, there is a lack of evaluation indicators and quantitative evaluation models related to the data consistency mechanism, so it is difficult to systematically identify the scope of use and existing problems of the relevant mechanisms. Based on this, on the basis of summarizing the data consistency requirements of network application services, this paper presents a quantitative evaluation model of data consistency, and quantitatively evaluates the data consistency mechanism in the blockchain. the implementation effects and shortcomings of these mechanisms are explained. In addition, using the given evaluation model, we find that the network size of the decentralized network is the core factor affecting data consistency, and the network size is positively related to the strength of the network maintenance data consistency mechanism.
