Power Quality Improvement with DPFC and DER using Multilevel Inverters

The effect of DPFC which is analyzed on power system parameters such as voltage magnitude at each bus, power flows in transmission lines, total power system losses and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). This paper deals with comparison of closed loop fourteen bus DPFC systems with DER using multilevel Inverters. To maximize the effectiveness of solar and wind generations along with DPFC, the entire analysis is performed for closed loop systems with five level and seven level inverters. The analysis of DPFC is performed with supporting graphical and numerical results. PV is used to charge the capacitor of series converter. An additional wind generator is used at bus 9 of FBS.
