Icing Dataset of Overhead Power Transmission Lines for China Southern Power Grid

Icing on overhead wires is one of the important factors endangering the safe operation of power system. In order to realize intelligent analysis of icing state of power equipment, it is urgent to establish icing data set. The establishment of effective icing image data set requires a huge amount of annotation. At present, there is no available icing image data set in the power field. Therefore, based on the on-line monitoring images of overhead lines in China Southern Power Grid from 2014 to 2018, combined with the construction requirements of insulator and wire icing image data set, this paper classifies and segments the icing images, and establishes the icing data set of overhead lines in China Southern Power Grid, which provides data basis for Icing Image Management and intelligent recognition of icing type and icing thickness.
