Interconnection of Performance Indicators and Reliability of Data Transmission Systems

The concepts of a data communication system (DCS), as well as the classification and various network architectures, types and hierarchies of network nodes, characteristics and analysis of their development are discussed in this article. The modern element base based on the use of large-scale integrated (LSI) circuits, very large-scale integrated (VLSI) circuits and microprocessor sets (MPS) is considered, which can significantly increase the efficiency of systems - increase productivity and reliability, expand the functionality of systems, reduce weight, dimensions and power consumption. The main directions of work to improve the reliability of DTS are given, their advantages and disadvantages are shown. The main directions of improving the technical, operational characteristics of DCS and technical means by improving the maintainability indicators, the main tasks of ensuring the testability and diagnosing DCS are considered. The graph of the states of the system with built-in control (BIC) is given and on the basis of the graph an expression for the availability factor of the system with built-in control is obtained.
