An Intelligent Dynamic Speed Hump

The intelligent dynamic speed hump studied in this paper is a new type of speed reduction facility. It can judge the type and speed of vehicles and dynamically adjust the height of speed hump from the ground, so that fast vehicles can effectively decelerate, while special or slow vehicles can smoothly pass without obstacles. Through analyzing the speed monitoring data of a road section, the speed limit standard of a specific road section is obtained; The ADAMS/CAR simulation model is used for simulation experiments to determine the relationship between vehicle speed and speed hump height, and finally a proportional physical model is made. The intelligent dynamic speed hump can realize the traffic calming control of the collector road, which can ensure the deceleration effect and embody the humanization of human-oriented traffic.
