Research on Live Cleaning Technology of External Insulation of Power Equipment

The external insulation surface of power equipment is easy to accumulate dirt, which is easy to cause flashover, So, regular cleaning is very necessary. At present, the decontamination of UHV insulators is mainly carried out by manual power failure. On the one hand, it is difficult to carry out due to the power failure of the power grid. On the other hand, there are many potential personal safety hazards for decontamination personnel working at heights. Therefore, it is necessary to study a mature live cleaning technology. In order to study the reliable live cleaning technology, dry ice washing and air washing are carried out on the simulated pressurized dirty insulators respectively. The test results show that dry ice washing can better clean the surface pollution of insulators than other methods
