Dual Loop Control of Ultrahigh Step-Down Converter

A new dual loop control method is presented and applied to the ultrahigh step-down converter, so as to improve the corresponding load transient responses. Unlike the traditional current feedback control signal, the inner-loop feedback control signal is the voltage on the energy-transferring capacitor, and this makes the control easy. To demonstrate the proposed control method, a single-loop control method is employed as a comparison and some experimental results are given.
