Power Conscious Routing Protocol for Ad-hoc 6LoWPAN Networks

A power-conscious 6LoWPAN routing algorithm is proposed in this paper. The new routing protocol called 6LoWPAN EMMSPEED is energy and mobility aware. The optimal path is based mainly on the next node's power level along route. The simulation results demonstrate that the suggested power node-type conscious routing algorithm metric will significantly improve the performance of the network.
