Peculiarities of Time of Flight Indoor Positioning based on DWM1000 Modules

The present paper is devoted to the question of development, testing, and online monitoring of indoor positioning systems based on DWM1000 modules. It has been established that the corresponding system requires calibration of each measuring channel. Low distance indoor navigation systems may use one point calibration while long distance system require at least two measurement points. Experiments show the measurement channels due to jamming environment can operate in unstable operating mode significantly reducing accuracy of the whole system. It was established that such operation mode can be detected using power spectral density. The information from the detected unstable channel can be ignored to save high accuracy of the indoor navigation system.
