Simulation of Precipitation in 50 Gamma World Cities for the 20th Century Using Random Walk

Unforeseeably large or small precipitations can lead to huge damages in given area. Mathematical description of precipitation is an important step to understand the precipitation patterns, and paves the way to possibly predict the precipitation with models. In this study, we attempt to use the random walk model to simulate the annual precipitation in 50 gamma world cities for the 20
^th
century. The results show that the random walk model can accomplish simulations, suggesting the random walk model can describe the precipitation in these cities.
