Bitmap Image Processing and Edge Detection Using Sobel Algorithm and Multi-Threaded Parallel Techniques

Image processing and edge detection have become some of the most essential problems that are solved by parallel computing techniques. One of the fundamental issues with image processing is the increased complexity and required time for processing which has a direct relationship to the size of the image data. This study aims to develop a multi-threaded parallel Sobel edge detection algorithm for image processing.
