Expert System For Comparative Diagnosis Probability Of Lung Disease Using Nearest Neighbour Algorithm

Lung disease is a serious threat in Indonesia and has even claimed many lives. Lung disease itself is quite diverse such as tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchitis, lung cancer and lung disease which recently threatens the health of all citizens of the world namely Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). even so, especially in the City of Tasikmalaya the availability of a lung specialist doctor is very minimal and can even be said to be missing. For the treatment of lung disease in hospitals in the city of Tasikmalaya, it is usually done by a specialist in internal medicine. During the industrial revolution 4.0 as it is now the actual availability of experts can be overcome with artificial intelligence technology, namely through expert systems. Therefore, the authors try to build an expert system that can diagnose lung disease with nearest neighbour retrieval algorithm in order to represent the knowledge of pulmonary specialists and can benefit the community. This system can diagnose 25 symptoms or conditions related to lung disease, so that the diagnosis of these symptoms will produce an output in the form of the probability of the disease in accordance with the correlation of symptoms that are related. This system is quite effective as an alternative solution for the community in the diagnosis of lung disease, because this system has been tested by experts and produces an accuracy rate of 96.66%
