Increasing the Smart Home Automation by using Facebook Messenger Application

Smart home is a house in which it has a control system that can control electronic equipment remotely. In this study, remote control of home electronic devices was carried out using social media that is widely used today, namely Facebook messenger. By providing triggers in the form of text on the Facebook Messenger chatbot, users can operate electronic devices anywhere. In this design, electronic equipment such as lights, fans, and doors are tested. the function of the lamp is to turn it off and on, the function of the fan is to display it, and the function of the door is to lock and unlock the door automatically. To connect software and hardware applications, this study utilizes the NodeMCU ESP8266 with a wifi connection. The ESP8266 NodeMCU connected to the internet can receive data that has been provided by the user via the Facebook messenger chatbot and also send data to the database. Text commands sent to the Facebook messenger chatbot are sent to the NodeMCU ESP8266 so that the command language can be accepted. The system has been tested with various kinds of tests and the level results that the success of the system in translating the appropriate text commands, turning on and off lights, turning on and off, and locking the door is 100%
